2 Kings 11. As long as Jehoiada was High Priest Joash led a revival. But after the death of Jehoiada, Joash led Israel back into idolatry. If it can happen to Joash, it can happen to us.
2 Kings 11. Jacob looks at King Joash in terms of his Messanic typology, how as long as Jehoiada was High Priest Joash led a revival in Israel by tearing down that which was unbiblical. As is the clergy, so goes the leaders and ultimately the nation. But after the death of Jehoiada, Joash became the new Athaliah and led Israel back into idolatry. If it can happen to Joash, it can happen to us.
